What Did Donut Day Mean to You?

For those of us who took National Donut Day to heart we may have taken a stop through our favorite drive through spot for some donuts to share at work or wondered if this was a serious celebration for our police officer friends. While the sweet pastries can come in a wide variety and there certainly is something great about being able to celebrate a food item and know that some of the different locations will offer them for free on this day of celebration, the celebration of national donut day may mean something else to car guys.

For car enthusiasts this day of celebration means finding the right parking lot in which to turn some great donuts and have a great time drifting and blowing up some great tire smoke. This may have you wondering what the right vehicle is to turn donuts in; here are several that will certainly make the cut and give you the right stuff to turn all the donuts you want.

Dodge Challenger – This car is obvious for turning donuts. Its heavy and powerful and a rear-wheel-drive sports car that resembles the muscle cars of the 1960s. You can show off to your friends, set up a video camera or just enjoy the fun on your own when you take this beauty out and let it make 360 degree turns for you.

Chevrolet Camaro – As another choice that makes perfect sense the Camaro looks mean and menacing on any road or track. Using the power under the hood of this beauty you can turn the donuts using the SS model or above and know that you will leave tracks behind for others to follow.

Ford Mustang – Another gloriously beautiful car that can turn the rings on the pavement you want is the Mustang which has room for you to take along some in the backseat as you take your turns on the parking lot of your choosing. So far it’s been all about the muscle cars as we lead into the next group.

Porsche 911 – You won’t find any complaints when you pick any Porsche model to do some burnouts and donuts in. This car is one that has the power and prestige to get the job done and turn the circles that make for a great time. Let the 911 be the fin car of your choosing and enjoy this beauty.

World Record Cars – If you can think it up Guinness will let you put a world record together for it which has recently shown us 75 cars that were performing donuts at the same time. I would say these all qualify as a great way to enjoy National Donut Day.

Lamborghini Gallardo – While you may pay a huge price to own a Gallardo its meant for you to have fun so you will certainly want to let this car loose and see just how cool it looks on video when you turn donuts in one of the most admirable super cars to ever be made.

Jaguar F-Type – The F-Type is the Jaguar that doesn’t take itself too seriously at all. Its performance oriented and ready to ride on the track or to tear up an open road it finds. This car is perfect for some donuts and offers you the wonderful sound of this glorious engine to have a great engine note to have the ride you want.

Subaru BRZ/Scion FR-S/Toyota 86 – As a trio that rides on the same platform (one of which is about to be deleted from the market), this car looks great and can make some of the smallest donuts you will ever enjoy on the road or in a deserted parking lot to see how they can spin and leave cool tracks.

BMW M2 – This newcomer to the market is one that has nearly perfect wheel spread to give you a donut making machine that will let you enjoy the spin in a smaller space than most of the other cars on this list.

Mazda MX-5 Miata – This is the car that makes the top of the list and because donuts are fun its one that can do them.
