As much as we’ve always loved watching amazing chase scenes on the screen in front of us at the movies or in our homes, the cars that are used are usually just a part of the movie and don’t always present a major part to the movie. Of course, there are some movies that we’ve loved cars more than others such as the Fast and Furious series of movies and who could talk about cars in a movie part without discussing the fact that James Bond drives Aston Martin models in every film that features the famed British agent.

Did you know that there’s a film company owned by an automotive company? Most of us don’t know this at all, but BMW Films has been in business for many years and has been able to offer us some amazing looks at what this company can do with the camera and a few great actors. In fact the company has hired Clive Owen to star in their new series of films alongside Dakota Fanning to give us a look at adventure and a serious story that the company wants to be told in a series of amazing short films.

These new films from BMW Films aren’t their first attempt at giving us some amazing entertainment. This part of the company launched a series of short films in 2001 with eight branded models called “The Hire” which also had Clive Owen as the star. With Neill Blomkamp as the writer and director, BMW Films makes a return to the screen to give us new films for us to admire, enjoy and get into the action as the BMW models used in the making of the film perform some amazing feats of automatic acrobatics to amaze us.

If you aren’t familiar with Neill Blomkamp, he is the person who is best known for District 9 and of course when you see the trailer for this new series you’ll recognize Jon Bernthal who played The Punisher in the Netflix show Daredevil. This new BMW Films production is going to give you an amazing ride with some of these well-known actors and filmmakers to allow you the fun of going along on a ride with the cast and crew in these short but serious films that are meant to capture your emotions and put you on the edge of your seat.

The new series from BMW Films is called “The Escape” and it gives us a look at a series of amazing chase scenes with law enforcement officials trying to crack down on those who are attempting to escape. Will the officials capture our would-be escapee or will they get away and be able to tell their story somewhere else? It’s hard to know just from this short trailer, but you can bet we’ll be ready to watch this series and learn more about the stories that are being told with the amazing vehicles and actors that are helping to bring BMW Films back to the screen for us to have a lot of fun.
