Upgrades to a New Vehicle

Most of the time we think of a new vehicle as being one that has addressed all of the necessary changes that were requested in an older model, but that’s not always the case. There are many times that a brand new model isn’t exactly what we need it to be and a few changes can be made to update these vehicles to make them a bit better than they were before so that we can have a great ride. This is the case with at least one new vehicle that was updated for 2016 and brought to the market.

This new vehicle that now has upgrades after only a year on the market is the Honda Pilot. Yes, the Pilot has been around for several years, but this new model from 2016 brought in a whole new generation and a Pilot that gives us more of what we want from this SUV. Of course, there are some items that needed to be upgraded right away and for the 2017 model year, Honda has done a great job of adding new features and items that we want to enjoy on the road when we fill this vehicle with gear or with people for the drive.

This upgraded model adds the benefit of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to the mix and has a new touchscreen that is resistant to fingerprints and glare. This makes for a welcome change in the new model so that you don’t have to look at a screen covered in finger marks or is hard to see. This screen is eight-inches in size to give us the look and size we want to have for this infotainment system. The only thing that wasn’t added, probably because of the improvements to the screen, is a volume knob, which you can still control from the steering wheel or from the touchscreen system.

The Pilot is one of the most popular and enjoyable vehicles on the market when it comes to the large SUVs that are offered. This vehicle can hold up to eight passengers and uses a strong 3.5-liter V6 engine that pushes out 280 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque while using a six-speed automatic on the lower trims and a nine-speed automatic on the upper trims of the Pilot. This makes for an SUV that’s great to drive and gives you decent fuel mileage on top of being a great place to do everything you need to.

The only other improvement made to this SUV is the addition of a new interior color. A new black interior has been offered on all trims to give you a great look on the inside of the vehicle and make it easy for you to have the look and feel you want. The price for 2017 starts around $30,595 on the base 2WD models and tops out around $47,070 for the fully loaded 4WD Elite model giving you a great price range to choose from when you want a new SUV that now has a great screen that will not have fingerprints or glares to bother you.
