SEMA Show F-150

More Fords for the SEMA Show

It seems Ford is making a full court press at the SEMA Show this year which will take place at the end of the month.  Already we have seen the amazing Ford Edge offerings they are planning to show off but now they have given us a peak into the F-150s they intend to showcase at the same time.  These great trucks have been built in partnership with some of the tuners from around the country to bring us a look at what they can do with an F150 and what we can expect from them and from Ford for the future.

MRT Edition – MRT added a Tremec Magnum six-speed manual transmission onto the EcoBoost V6 engine which normally only comes with an automatic.  This gives us an F-150 that has a unique ability to be shifted by the driver and makes for a feature many still love on their trucks.  The tuner also had to add new parts, a new computer programming, a roll cage, racing seats, five-point harnesses, air suspension and Wilwood performance brakes to give this truck an amazing amount of sport and performance to be loved by those who want their F-150 tuned this way.

Leer Edition – Leer is known for its truck caps and tonneau covers and the F-150 SuperCrew they are sending to SEMA with Ford offers a six-inch suspension lift, off road wheels and tires, a more luxurious interior with leather upholstery and carpeted floor mats.  Off course this truck will also feature a custom Leer bed cap with LED lighting and a 1,000-watt Rockford Fosgate sound system to blast your music for all to hear.  Without a doubt this is one great way to showcase the Leer products and let the world see how these items can work on a heavy duty off road ready beast.

Roush Edition – With the Leer being lifted, the Roush wen the other way looking for more horsepower and a lowered build.  Essentially they have built a racing F-150 with a lowered suspension and the installation of a Roush R2300 supercharger, air intake and active exhaust which increase the horsepower to 650 and the torque to 600 lb.-ft.  To add the sport of this amazing model, 22-inch wheels and Power Stop brakes finish out the look and feel of a truck that is built for the track and can certainly head there right now to whip some of the sports cars.

CGS Edition – From CGS Performance we see a new intercooler, new exhaust and new intake added to the EcoBoost V6 engine.  An air suspension has also been added along with 24-inch wheels.  This gives the truck and overall strong presence and with the new air ride you will receive a very comfortable ride along any road.  Without a doubt this truck may be the favorite of many, especially for the ride that is offered.   You can’t have an F-150 with an air suspension from just anyone and this will certainly give us a showcase truck to talk about and consider as the next development in trucks for even smoother rides than they have right now.

Airdesign Edition – This model offers new features that have been put on by Airdesign USA include the new spoiler, fender flares, a hood scoop and 20-inch wheels with 33-inch off road tires to head out in the wilderness for some fun and adventure.  Toss in the fact that this appears to be one of the most rugged of the trucks offered in this category and you see that you really have something special from this tuner.  It doesn’t always take a lot to make the F-150 be special and this is one of the most special editions you can find anywhere.

Forgiato Edition – This model has added a supercharger to the V8 engine for the SEMA show but the company has not unleashed the new power numbers keeping those a secret until the show.  This truck has been done up right in red and black paint to make it a gorgeous truck that looks custom built and ready for the show.  Toss in the 24-inch wheels that are deeply concave and the six-inch suspension lift along with a Leer tonneau cover and this truck is ready to be the head turner its meant to be.

Galpin Edition – Galpin has been partnering with Ford for many years and for many shows.  You know with this name you are going to see something truly special and Galpin did not disappoint at all.  This new version offers a blue and orange look that appears to be right out of the Gulf.  A new intercooler and exhaust aid the EcoBoost V6 and the Addictive Desert Designs State 3 suspension kit gives the truck the ability to handle the tough terrain that can be found, everywhere.  Add in some driving lights, off road bumpers, Wilwood brakes, 20-inch wheels with 37-inch tires and this beast is ready to brawl with the best of them.

Like it or not , Ford is ready to show off at SEMA and help bring some of their tuning partners to the future glory they will experience from these entries into this amazing and fun show of vehicles that have been upgraded for the purpose of fun and excitement on an off the road.  It will be interesting to see how some of these beauties fare at the show when looked at up close and in person by many who will be in attendance.
