The new flagship of Cadillac is the CT6. Whether Cadillac wants to admit it or not this is the top model and the one that has all the technology and innovation we want to enjoy to give us a car that is made for the luxury drive as well as for amazing performance. This car is new for this year and shows off with a style that is becoming a signature of Cadillac while it also offers us a great deal of new features to explore and discuss.

The CT6 is the car that is setting the stage for the next phase of driving for Cadillac. The word of the day when it comes to this car is “tech” and the CT6 is full of it. This car has a ton of new cabin tech, a massive amount of lightweight tech, a great deal of engine tech along with this becoming a car that is extremely close to being a car that drives autonomously. The CT6 we take a look at is powered by a 2.0-liter engine to make it a small but mighty engine for us to admire as we explore everything about the new CT6.

The overall look of the CT6 is a bit more refined in its appearance with softer lines even though it still maintains the signature look from Cadillac. We see the wreath crest gone for the CT6, which is carried across the lineup and a car that is simply elegant, sophisticated and attractive from every angle of the vehicle.

While the CT6 is a long car it is actually lighter than the BMW 535i xDrive and the BMW 740i xDrive even and offers more horsepower than both the BMW models when the CT6 is equipped with the V6 engine. The CT6 is less expensive by several thousand dollars than the larger BMW model and even lower in cost than the 535i. The length is only two inches shorter than the larger BMW model, making the CT6 a truly long luxury car that can tote around executives or show off to a high class crowd in style.

The CUE system of the CT6 has been improved to give you a great screen in the dashboard which is built in perfectly. The instrument panel is excellent as well giving you a wide variety of systems that will keep you safer on the road and offer you alerts that you need to be able to respond to in order to avoid a possibly fatal accident. The most intriguing feature added to the CT6 is the rearview monitor that replaces the rearview mirror to ensure you won’t have the heads of your backseat passengers in the way of your view to the area behind the car.

The rear seat is perfect for you to enjoy the ride, especially in the Platinum edition. This version has two entertainment units, controls in the center seatback and even automatic massaging and reclining rear seats. Not every version will be equipped with these items, but the backseat area of all CT6 models is large and spacious to give you a comfortable ride even if the person in front of you is over six feet tall.

There are three engines you can enjoy on the CT6, the V6 we discussed, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that has 265 horsepower and a 3.0-liter twin turbocharged V6 which increases the horsepower to 404. The larger engines offer AWD and even rear-wheel steering to give you more control and allow you to make turns more easily.
