Ram and Jeep followed the same path with the Wrangler and Ram 1500 when new models arrived.  Take a look at what that took place.

While closing out the previous calendar year and moving toward the current one, the Jeep Wrangler model that was part of the previous generation was sold alongside the newest one to give us both for a short period of time. This created a boon in the sales of the Jeep Wrangler and FCA has chosen to do the same with the Ram 1500. This means we’re going to have the current generation and the next one to be sold together in order to give you what you’re looking for when you’re ready to drive a truck.

How Will the Ram 1500 Be Offered?

The current generation of the Ram 1500 will carry over to the 2019 model year and be sold as the Ram Classic. This model will be billed as a budget model that’s perfect for those who want an entry-level truck or one that can be added to a commercial fleet. This is a fantastic way to completely sell the models that are on the lots around the country. With this plan in place, you’re going to be able to choose either the previous generation or the newest one for your drive.

The Ram Classic will be offered as a regular cab, a crew cab, or a quad cab to give you three choices that you’ll want to think about and consider. The regular cab will be offered with an eight-foot bed or a 6-foot 4-inch bed. The Crew Cab is offered only with the 6-foot 4-inch bed while the quad cab can have this smaller bed or an even smaller 5-foot 7-inch bed. The different trim levels you’ll find for the Ram Classic will include Tradesman, Express, Big Horn/Lone Star, and the police-spec SSV to give you plenty of great choices.

Powering the new Ram Classic

The power under the hood of the new Ram Classic will include a trio of engine choices that make it easy for you to have the ride you want and the ability to get things done. The engines you’ll be able to choose from including the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, the 5.7-liter Hemi V8, and the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel six-cylinder engine for the drive. With these engine choices, you’re going to be ready to have an excellent drive in the truck you choose to help you make sure you’re going to be able to get things done.

The 2019 Ram Classic will be offered beginning in the fourth quarter of this year to make sure you’re going to be easy to enjoy.
