The Nissan 370Z is a sports car that’s a lot of fun to drive, offers us a heritage that we can admire, and has become long in the tooth.

It’s hard to argue that Nissan should create the next version of the Z car, and they might have inadvertently shown off what it should be at the SEMA show last month. The Nissan booth offered us a look at the Nissan Motorsports Project Clubsport 23 that has more power and an exciting list of qualities for the ride we want to enjoy.

Not a Production Model from Nissan

So far, Nissan has dubbed this new car as nothing more than a rolling development showcase car. This car showed up at the SEMA show in Las Vegas with 400 horsepower churning out of the twin-turbocharged V6 engine. While we would love to see this car offered as the next production model of the Z car that we want to admire and drive, Nissan has said they will online offer it as a kit for customers to be able to access higher levels of performance when they want to take this car out for a ride.

Nissan made this Powertrain Better

The engine under the hood of the Clubsport 23 may offer 400 horsepower, which is the same as what we see from the Infiniti Red Sport 400 cars. One significant difference between this new car and the kit that it might be built with is the fact that the Nissan Clubsport 23 is built with a manual transmission. This is an MA Motorsports developed disc clutch that makes it possible to have everything needed to make this car the right one the fun we want to enjoy when we get out on the road and take it for a drive.

More Performance Items for the Clubsport 23

This car is one that has more than just power for the ride. You’ll find an AMS Performance Cold Air Intake Kit, a Z1 Motorsports set of blow-off valves, a 76 mm specially fabricated MA Motorsports exhaust, an AMS Performance heat exchanger, MA Motorsports power steering cooler, and a Z1 Motorsports radiator and intercooler silicone coolant hoses. These items all add more to what this car can offer when it’s time to see more of the stuff underneath that can be the car you want to drive.
