When the Genesis team brings out the next SUV in the lineup, that SUV will be the GV70 which gives us a small model to admire and drive.

This model will share the platform with the G70 and be an extremely athletic compact crossover SUV that fits into this luxury lineup. While we haven’t yet seen this SUV in its full splendor, we do know a few things about it and what it should bring when it arrives on the scene.

Bringing Athletic Elegance in a Small SUV

We see the new Genesis GV80 already garnering a ton of attention in the market, and rightfully so. This isn’t where Genesis is going to stop at all. The new GV70 will be the next offering and it will be an SUV that brings us the “Athletic Elegance” feeling that Genesis is using as the design and performance feeling you’ll get when you take a drive.

A Few Items to See in the Genesis GV70

There are some details that are offered for this new small SUV. We know the design will reflect much of what we see in the GV80 with the signature twin-line headlights that we love. This smaller model will also reflect a bit of what the G70 brings with pinched inner edges on the front. The Crest Grille will look more like what we see in the GV80, which has the newest design for this brand.

The rear of the new GV70 will be a departure from the larger SUV in the lineup. The GV80 has continuous glass from the front to the rear but the GV70 will have a body-color C-pillar near the rear to break up the look of the vehicle. You’ll also see chrome along the top of the doors and this rear pillar to offer the style you’ll admire.

The Testing Models Sent Out for Some Views

As we expect with any new vehicle that’s going to head out on the roads in its prototype fashion, the Genesis GV70 wore digital camouflage during testing drives. What was slightly hidden in this outfit was a QR Code that passersby could scan when they see this vehicle to get linked to more information about what the new GV70 will be? This might be the future of testing vehicles and a great way to gain some buzz about the next models being offered.

A Few Questions Still Remain for the Genesis GV70

Even though it’s been a busy time for the Genesis brand with the new GV80 and the second generation of the G80 being offered, we want to know what engines will power the GV70. So far, this brand is keeping hushed about the power and what we can expect in this smaller model.

A new Genesis will arrive, but not this model year. We don’t know much about it, but we already admire it and can’t wait to see what will be offered with the GV70 makes its way to the market. Expect more information regarding this SUV as we come closer to its release date.
