The 2023 Telluride X-Pro: A Kia You Can Really Take Off-Road

If you thought the Kia Telluride couldn’t get any better, you were wrong. The 2023 model will arrive with a new X-Pro trim level that is more capable than any other Telluride in the lineup. Take a look at the all-new Telluride X-Pro, a Kia you can really take off-road.

An Elevated Everyday Driver

The Telluride X-Pro takes everything you love about this large SUV and makes it better. It comes standard with an all-wheel drive system with a locking function.

This lock button allows the driver to ensure the all-wheel drive system doesn’t start off in two-wheel drive until it detects a slip and then shifts to all-wheel drive.

It also has a dedicated Snow mode. This helps to manage throttle response,
wheelspin, and the transmission settings to get you the best possible traction when driving in the snow.

Take the Telluride X-Pro to the Trails

While a Kia Telluride is not the vehicle, you’ll put a winch on and do any deep off-road traversing, but you might want to go into the wood to do some camping or drive down a steep embankment when it’s your day to deliver snacks to the kid’s soccer practice. This is where the X-Pro will come in handy. It comes standard with all-wheel drive and all-terrain tires. Kia also made some adjustments to give it a better approach angle to handle rocky terrain, and it has some extra ground clearance. The 8.4 inches gives you more capability than the other Telluride trims.

This Kia Telluride also adds some raised roof rails, making it easy to attach your
kayak, skis, or rooftop luggage carrier.

Bump up the Towing Power

Another place where the X-Pro stands out is with its towing power. An upgraded cooling system gives it the power to tow up to 5,500 pounds instead of the 5,000 pounds the rest of the lineup can pull.

All versions of the 2023 Telluride will have the same powertrain. The 3.8-liter V-6 generates 291 horsepower and gets you 262 pound-feet of torque. Hill-descent control is another addition to the 2023 Telluride. You’ll not only get it with the new X-Pro trim, though. It will come standard across the board.

There’s More Tech in the Telluride X-Pro

Whether you’re headed off the beaten path or sticking to the roads, the new technology in the 2023 Kia Telluride makes any ride better. It now comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen in the center of the dash and a matching 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster in front of the driver. The digital screens integrate the navigation system, camera views, onboard Wi-Fi hotspot, stereo system, and
climate controls. The X-Pro also adds a 110-volt outlet in the cargo area.

The Kia Telluride X-Pro is the best choice when you think you might need to
tackle some rough terrain. Its all-wheel drive system, all-terrain tires, and extra
ground clearance are just what you need for your weekend adventures.
