The 2020 Lineup
The New York Auto Show brought the 2020 debuts and concept vehicles of the very near future. There were announcements you won’t want to miss if you’re looking to check out the latest from your favorite brands this fall. Here’s a roundup of the best of what’s to come in automobiles.
2020 Hyundai Venue Debut
Hyundai’s family is complete with its latest crossover, the Venue. It’s smaller than the Kona, but also cheaper, which makes is a great option for fans of Hyundai. It has the latest technology including an 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. It comes in in customizable two-tone colors, so drivers can choose which Venue will mesh with their personalities. The Venue also comes with a slew of the latest safety features, giving drivers all they could want and more in a compact SUV. The Venue is slated to be available late 2019.
2020 Toyota Highlander Redesign
Toyota unveiled the newly redesigned Highlander. Updates to its exterior and interior resemble the sharper and sculpted body on the RAV4. The roomy, three-row SUV is a pinch longer in the redesign and will also come in a hybrid version, boosting up to 34-highway mpg. The cabin is quieter than previous years’ and is more comfortable, giving passengers a better experience. This SUV will sure to impress those who aren’t fans of the class family-SUV look. The 2020 Highlander will be available late 2019.
2021 Fisker SUV Concept
The EV race is on and Fisker is reminding us that they’re very much in the game. Only the front of their concept EV SUV was revealed at the New York Auto Show, but they’re promising a price tag of under $40,000 and a 300-mile run on one tank. The Fisker EV SUV is ready to take on Tesla in the EV market and from the looks of the teaser, drivers are in for a mid-size SUV that will excite drivers to join the EV family. The Fisker SUV is set for a 2021 release.
Kia HabaNiro Concept
Kia presented its EV autonomous car concept dubbed the HabaNiro. It has a clean and refined exterior with a pop of color on the backsides. It screams high tech and autonomous with its spacious and mostly sparse interior, keeping the focus on the comfort of the driver and passengers. There is no set release year for the HabaNiro, and while there is still much testing before fully autonomous vehicles hit the mass market, we can expect to see more EV features from Kia before the HabaNiro launches.
