The TLX Offers Two Powertrains

You’ll find a pair of drivetrains for the Acura TLX that you want to drive every day. Both of these have a ten-speed automatic transmission and require premium 91-octane gasoline to operate correctly.

The engine found for all trims except the Type is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 272 horsepower and 280 lb.-ft. of torque. This car will return 22 city/31 hwy mpg in most trims, 22 city/30 hwy mpg in FWD A-Spec models, and 21 city/29 hwy mpg when you have an AWD version.

The Type S version of the TLX brings you power that comes from a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine that makes 355 horsepower and 354 lb.-ft. of torque. This powertrain will return 19 city/25 hwy mpg but only 24 hwy mpg if you have the Performance Wheel and Tire Package.
