Maserati Levante: Italian Elegance and Power

Not to be left out of a fast-growing market, Maserati developed the Levante to be its luxury SUV entry. Here’s what you’ll find in this high-end luxury SUV.

The Levante competes with some of the top models in the market, including the Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes-Benz GLE, and BMW X5. This isn’t an SUV for everyone, its high price tag means it doesn’t fit in every budget, but that’s just fine. There are three trims offered to give you various equipment levels to make this SUV an excellent choice and something different from some of the most common luxury SUVs in this class.

How much power does the Levante provide?

Maserati uses two powertrains from Ferrari for this impressive SUV. These powertrains are either a twin-turbocharged V6 or twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Every model has an 8-speed automatic transmission which sends power to all four wheels.

The GT trim delivers 345 horsepower from the V6 powertrain, while the Modena model is upgraded to 426 horsepower, making it quicker on the road and track. The GT Ultima hits 60 mph in 5.8 seconds, while the Modena Ultima reaches this same speed in 5.0 seconds. The Trofeo Ultima trim is the only model using the V8 engine, which produces 572 horsepower and rockets this SUV to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds.

Is anything new for 2024?

Like most automotive brands, Maserati will end the use of the V8 engine with the Trofeo Ultima trim. This Maserati Levante could be the last to have this venerable engine. Additionally, the GT Ultima and Modena Ultima trims have more standard equipment than before.

What does each trim give you?

With three trims to choose from, it can be pretty easy to enjoy the Levante and everything it brings to the market. Here’s what you’ll find at each trim:
